Untitled #1
Whispers willow's sway,
Secrets close of day,
Shadows silent play,
Unspoken led away.
Moonlit water's face,
Mirrors silvered grace,
Ripple story's trace,
Unsaid time's embrace.
Gentle breeze, autumn leaves,
Tales untold, mind perceives,
In gaps, soul believes,
Understood, night reprieves.
Pause, a world unseen,
Thoughts, spaces between,
Words end, dreams convene.
Quiet meanings glean.
Embrace the immediacy and purity of experience. Let go of preconceptions and expectations, experience art and moments with an open heart and mind, allowing personal interpretations and emotional responses to lead the way.
Initially, I contemplated titling this poem "Thoughts Unchained," However, I have since realized that assigning it any title—even one that speaks of freedom—would paradoxically serve as a chain. It became clear that to truly embody the spirit of unchained thoughts, the poem itself must remain untethered by the expectations and preconceptions a title imposes.
Thus, the decision to leave the poem without a title was not made lightly; it was born from the recognition that true guidance in the realm of thought and emotion comes from within. This poem is intended as a guide without a guide, suggesting paths through the landscape of introspection and feeling without dictating the direction.
By experiencing this poem, unguided by a predetermined title, it is my hope that you have briefly transcended the limitations of language, engaging in a sort of co-creation of meaning at the intersection of my work and your experience of it. Venture into the depths of your own interpretation, finding meanings that are deeply personal, unchained from my intentions or linguistic constraints.
In this context, the poem without a title becomes an embodiment of this philosophy. It doesn't direct the reader's journey but offers a space for exploration and personal discovery. It is an attempt to connect, inspire, and move in ways that are as unique and varied as the individuals who encounter it.
